Geotechnics has provided laboratory and field testing services for numerous highway projects throughout the United States. Our AASHTO Accredited geotechnical laboratories have extensive experience performing classification and strength testing for numerous bridge foundation projects. Geotechnics also performs compressive strength testing on rock core and concrete cylinders.

Our GAI-LAP Accredited geosynthetic laboratory has performed conformance and performance testing on numerous highway projects involving geogrids & textiles. We have performed numerous interface friction direct shear tests on geogrids and site soils.

Our highway field services have included QC services for paving, fill placement, drainage structures and subgrade stabilization.

Additional field services that we provide are Dynamic Pile Driving Analyzer (PDA) services along with proof and performance testing on soil and rock anchors. Our staff members have been certified by GRL to perform these services.


Geotechnics performed extensive classification and triaxial strength testing for the future Woodrow Wilson Bridge that connects Virginia and Maryland.		Geotechnics performed laboratory and field QC services for selected contractors for a total reconstruction project involving subgrade lime stabilization. The project scope consisted of 20 miles of reconstruction on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
