Geotechnics has performed geotechnical and geosynthetic testing services on numerous dams located throughout the USA. We performed extensive classification and strength testing to evaluate the existing site conditions for six earth dams located in Montana. We performed conformance testing on geomembranes for the construction of the new North Fork Hughes River Dam project located in West Virginia. We have also performed QA\QC services on the construction of a slurry trench cut-off wall excavated in the crest of the Englewood Dam located in Ohio.
Geotechnics is accredited by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and routinely provides testing services to various consultants and contractors. We also performed classification testing for the USGS on samples colleted in the Atlantic Ocean for use in soil mapping.
Geotechnics also has extensive experience performing classification, strength and permeability testing on numerous industrial tailings dams. Our experience includes coal refuse, fly ash and other industrial by-products.
